Founded in 2006, Open Studio Bar was one of Melbourne’s most iconic and intimate live music venues.
Famous for its crêpes, 40+ cocktails, and romantic undercover courtyard, it offered a friendly, inclusive, and distinctly European atmosphere — transporting you to the old continent, right in the heart of Northcote.

Known for its intimate and vibrant vibe, Open Studio became a launchpad for countless great bands and a home for emerging artists from around the world.

While the original venue has now closed, Open Studio is evolving — and we’re just getting started.
Now in the process of becoming a roaming pop-up venue, we’re reimagining that legacy — creating unforgettable events in new and unexpected places.

We’re building something fresh. Each pop-up will offer a unique stage to share your creativity and connect with a passionate, music-loving community.
